Illustrators occupy a unique space in visual culture. Their work, encompassing both art and design, moves and influences audiences like nothing else. CCS’s Illustration program helps students realize this dynamic medium’s possibilities through pathways in Visual Development, Publishing, Fashion Lifestyle and Licensing, Comics and Sequential, or Gallery Artist. These curricular pathways assist our students in creating a portfolio specific to their career goals and creative interests.
Through a traditional, digital, and blended curriculum, Illustration students graduate with a solid knowledge of the traditional methods of illustration, the newer digital trends and the understanding of how traditional media translates into the digital illustration workflow process – from pigment to pixels.
