Self Presentation
The Art Education Department recognizes and values the engines which drive excellent teaching. Deeply exploring the intersections of art & design practice, meaningful community relevant concepts, and contemporary pedagogy provides a platform for robust curriculum design right from the start. The short videos shared here are examples of an exploration into a social justice topic unique to the interests of each student. As students worked through this assignment, they documented their process, thinking, and rationale which is then a catalyst for a lesson design, aligning their artistic practice with teaching.
